Do you accept walk-ins, or is everything by appointment only?

Cuda Counseling provides mental health and behavioral services by appointment only. Scheduling in advance allows our therapists and psychiatric providers to offer focused, individualized care. You can book an appointment on our secure booking page.

Do you accept new patients?

Yes — Cuda Counseling is currently accepting new patients in Rome, NY, and the surrounding areas, including Herkimer and Utica.  If you don’t live near one of our offices, telehealth appointments are available, allowing new patients to access therapy and mental health services remotely from anywhere in New York State and beyond!

Which insurance plans do you accept?

Cuda Counseling accepts insurance from several leading providers, including Excellus BlueCross BlueShield*, Fidelis, United Healthcare, MVP, Aetna and others. We currently accept commercial Excellus (employer-sponsored) plans only and do not accept Excellus Medicaid (state-sponsored) at this time.

At this time, Cuda Counseling does not accept NYSHIP (Empire), Medicare, or Excellus Medicaid. Our team is happy to help verify your benefits and guide you through the insurance process to ensure a smooth experience when accessing mental health services in Rome, NY, and the surrounding areas.

How much is a consultation or first visit if I don’t have insurance?

For clients without insurance, self-pay rates for an initial counseling or psychiatric visit vary based on the provider and service type. If you’re looking for mental health services in Rome, NY or nearby, please contact us directly for current pricing and payment options.

Do you accept pediatric patients?

Yes, Cuda Counseling accepts pediatric patients. The youngest age we accept is 14 years old at our Rome location, and 6 years old at our Herkimer location. For more information, contact our team. We can assist with eligibility questions and authorization requirements.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a fee.

Do you provide medication management?

No — Cuda Counseling does not offer medication management services. Our therapists provide talk therapy focused on developing coping strategies, processing trauma, improving relationships, and gaining a deeper understanding of oneself, which helps improve thoughts, emotions, and coping skills.

Is there free parking at your Rome location?
